The Hawks are running thin on the blue line. Brian Campbell won’t be back until some time during the playoffs due to a broken collarbone, and Brent Seabrook left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury. Huet sat out Wednesday with the flu and isn’t likely to dress against the Kings. Callup Corey Crawford played in Anaheim, but expect Niemi to face the Kings.Both of these teams are headed for the playoffs, but neither is playing well right now. The Hawks dropped their third in a row when they lost 4-2 at Anaheim on Wednesday night, while the Kings have been struggling over the last couple of weeks, winning just four times in their last 10 games. They’ve dropped to sixth place in the West and are just six points ahead of ninth-place Calgary.
Los Angeles has won the last three games against Chicago at the StaplesCenter and is 4-0-1 in the last five. The Blackhawks are 0-2-1 in Southern California this season after Wednesday’s loss in Anaheim. … The Blackhawks outshot Anaheim 41-36 on Tuesday, the 59th time in 69 games this season they’ve outshot the opposition.
